Mark Klein has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sutter Rock Capital since 2017, having spearheaded the firm’s rebranding from GSV Capital in 2019, and has been a director of the company since 2011.
Mark is also a director of Churchill Capital Corp II and Churchill Capital Corp III, special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs) that raised $690 million and $1.1 billion in initial public offerings on the New York Stock Exchange in June 2019 and February 2020, respectively. Additionally, since 2010 Mark has served as a Managing Member and Majority Partner of M. Klein and Company, LLC, an investment banking and advisory firm.
Mark was a Director of National Holding Corporations from 2011 to 2014, where he also served as CEO and Co-Chairman from 2013 to 2014. He served as a director of New University Holdings Corp from its inception in 2010 through 2011, when it merged with ePals, Inc. In addition, from April 2010 until May 2011, he served as CEO, President and a director of 57th Street General Acquisition Corp until it completed a merger with Crumbs Bake Shop. Subsequently, Mark served as a member of the Board of Directors of Crumbs from 2011 to 2014.
Mark has a bachelor’s degree with high distinction in Business Administration from Emory University and an MBA from the J. L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
